Samantha Swartzentruber

Associate Veterinarian - DVM

Dr. Sam has been with Rockville Road Animal Hospital since February 2021 after graduating from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.  Veterinary medicine is a second career for her after spending 15 years in laboratory medicine as a clinical laboratory scientist specializing in microbiology and serology.  Prior to veterinary school, she was very involved in shelters, rescues, and fostering.  Dr. Sam loves all things related to cats!

She grew up in Indianapolis and now lives in Speedway with her large menagerie of cats and dogs and their wide variety of ailments. She is still very involved in the shelter/rescue world and serves on the Indianapolis Animal Care Services Advisory Board.

Taylor

Veterinary Assistant

Taylor has been with Rockville Rd Animal Hospital since February 2020 as a Veterinary Assistant. She previously had worked in a boarding/daycare facility and that is where she found her passion for working with animals. Her favorite part of the job is being able to connect and help clients and their pets! She has 2 cats but wants to add more to her crew soon!

Summer

Client Services Representative

Joined Rockville Road Animal Hospital February of 2020. Summer has always had a passion for animals whether that was dogs, cats, exotics, or even wildlife! In the past she has worked at a daycare/ boarding facility, but knew she wanted to be helpful in the medical side of pet care. Her favorite part of the job is client education as well as seeing how we can make a difference in pet health. At home she has 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 ferret.

Rae

Client Services Representative

Rae joined RRAH in March 2022. They are new to Veterinary Medicine, but have loved volunteering as a foster mom for senior dogs for the last year. They love spending time outside in the garden or crocheting while watching a good crime documentary. Rae has 4 cats- Momma, Cora, Oliver and Jiji; and well as 2 dogs, Cain and Jinx.

Amelia

Practice Manager

Amelia joined RRAH as practice manager in early 2022. As a small child, she watched from a step stool as her grandfather performed surgeries at his small vet clinic in Hancock County. From this, her love for veterinary medicine was born. She has experience in animal welfare and human health care management and is also an experienced veterinary assistant. She shares her home with six cats, four dogs, a ball python, a scarlet macaw, and her partner.

Marie

Marie joined RRAH in December 2022. She has been working with animals of all types for over 14 years now, but she remains obsessed with cats above all else.

She is proud to be working for a clinic that participates in the Paw Project, because cat paws need their claws!

During her free time she can usually be found with her nose in a book, or gardening, hiking, thrift shopping, or napping with the many members of her fur family.

Samantha

Samantha joined RRAH in June 2023. She knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals, and first dipped her toes in animal care by volunteering at a local shelter. Shortly after, she worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. She wanted to be a part of veterinary medicine since it’s ever changing and she loves learning about it. She am happy to be a part of this team while getting to know the clients and their furry family members. Samantha has 5 dogs and 2 cats (most of them rescues) at home with her partner.
